Natural Delights has taken on an important mission to spread the notion that taking up a healthy vegetarian diet does not mean that you have to forgo any of the pleasures of the particular cuisine you are used to including French, Italian, Asian, American or South American.

We have developed alternative recipes with vegetarian ingredients that have the texture, flavor and aromas that you love. 

We have over 30 years experience as vegetarian cooks and restauranteurs in such varied countries as England, France, Sweden,  India, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia and finally the USA.

Our menus include famous items from traditional French and French Provincial cooking, low calorie whole grain home made pasta dishes from Italy, Swedish open face sandwiches,  Indian curries, Vegetarian Roast Beef that slices and tastes like the original, East Asian delights, Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches, Russian Chibourieke, Vegetarian Spanish Style Paella.

We make the first anti-cholesterol veggie burger with all the fixings.  It is truly delicious.

If you love a meat dish and do not know how to prepare it  vegetarian we will show you.  We are up to the challenge!

Who We Are

We are a small group of dedicated people with a view to offer quality services in any scale.

Alfonso our head cook had the opportunity to travel all over the planet and live for long periods in such exotic places as India, Malaysia, Singapore and Sweden.

His detailed interest in both spicing and ayurvedic medicine took him to investigate deeply into flavouring and using foods as the basis for preventative and corrective health though the combination of different ingredients

He hails from Bolivia in South America and is well acquainted with the cuisines of Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina and Chile and was formally trained in Italian, French and Spanish cooking while in Europe. 

In the year 2000 he and Leslie his wife founded Washington Lake Retreat which functioned for seven years as a hub to cater to those interested in Yoga and Naturopathic practices as well as religious retreats and introduced thousands of people to  healthier eating alternatives.

The Retreat was closed for extensive renovations in 2007 and Leslie and Alfonso have lived in NYC dedicating themselves to educating people about vegetarian cooking, training the staff of exclusive households and establishments and developing new insights into their mission.

Our Latest feat has been the conversion of a Glatt Kosher Grill (Joe's Grill) into a fully operational Vegetarian Grill where we substituted all meat dishes for vegetarian options including the Shawarma ( Gyro Grill ).

We now grill gluten and soya based steaks, veggie lamb and veggie chicken in this amazing first time for New York!!!
